DINER DASH by Playfirst is an addictive PC game that puts players in charge of a diner. The game is one of those puzzle games that sounds incredibly easy to play, but gamers will quickly learn that despite the simple setup, DINER DASH is anything but easy. Players take on the role of Flo, a waitress who has decided to open her own diner. Flo has found a chef to cook for her, but she has to play the roles of hostess, waitress, and bus boy. This leads to Flo being incredibly overworked. The object of DINER DASH is to keep all of the customers in the restaurant happy by seating them quickly, then delivering their food. Players will have to multitask to get all of these jobs done. Once customers are seated, Flo has to hurry to get their drinks, their appetizers, their main courses, and finally, their desserts. Then she has to clean off the table and seat the next customers. While this is all accomplished fairly easily players only have to move Flo to a table or the counter for her to pick up the food or clean the table it still requires gamers to constantly keep Flo moving and to prioritize customers. The longer customers have to wait, the more of a chance that they will either leave or not tip. The restaurant business is all about speed and multitasking, and DINER DASH perfectly recreates that atmosphere in its deceptively simple setup.
